Vizzy: Menus & Preferences
Menus
File Menu
- Load Movie Script : load
a
previously saved movie script from
disk.
- Save Movie Script / As:
save a movie script to disk.
- Save Image : save the
current frame as a .png file.
- Use Frame as Icon: useful for remembering what saved cues
look
like.
- Preferences :
Project-level settings; see below for details.
- About : contact, legal
& version.
Edit Menu
- Undo/Redo
- Cut/Copy/Paste : on
the selected instruction in the
control window. To move multiple instructions, group them first.
- Group: Add next
instruction to group.
- Ungroup: bring group
instructions to top level.
Project Menu
- Preview : see the movie
so far.
- Make>All : start
calculating frames from the beginnning.
- Make>From Point :
continue calculating frames from the current
point (continue).
- Shift Script: resizes a
script to work with a different format.
- Clear Frames: erases all
image files in the frames directory.
- Clear Script: erases all
cues except initial one, and empties
that.
- Restore Defaults: return
project settings (i.e. from
File>Prefs) to defaults.
- Credits Editor: launch
the credits editor, a packaged-in program
that you can use to add credits to the end of the movie.
Audio Menu
- Load Audio : load an
audio file. !!NOTE!! While Vizzy is in
beta, quit & restart to change audio
files.
- Save Processed Audio: Allows much quicker future launches
of Vizzy with this audio file (note: .wav file must remain in the same
directory).
- Save Cropped Audio: Saves an audio file cropped to
specific frames, so a Quicktime movie can be assembled from a partial
Vizzy movie.
Preferences
- Frame Directory: by
default is ~/Movies/_frames.
- Tail: adds silent frames
at the end of the movie, for example, to
let the visuals trail off.
- Threaded GL:
(experimental) May boost speed on OSX 10.5+.
- Tooltip delay
- Script Presets: if "Add
to Script" is selected, the presets will
accumulate in the cue instead of replacing each other.
