Vizzy -- Music Animation Software
About
Vizzy is a Mac OSX application for creating music
visualizations.
It generates images based on a music file and user settings.
Installer: Support libraries-- you
can throw it away after you run it. The program changes all
the time, so I send
the application itself by
email.
Documentation:
The
same
as
in Vizzy's help window. You
should also see Reading
Music Images-- it's short.
Quicktime
Pro:
You can see your movies in Vizzy preview, but to make a
standalone movie, you'll need this (or similar). It's about
$30 and quite capable.
In QT, use File>Open
Image
Sequence (and go to the first image in your frames directory).
Extras
Vizzy2D.app: A live spectral analyzer.
credits.exe:
Don't be fooled by the .exe; this is a
mac application!
This is a standalone version of the credits editor that's contained
within Vizzy. It works the same, except:
- Vizzy adds the
credits to
the end of the animation; credits.exe
clears the ~/Movies/_frames/ directory & writes there.
- Vizzy uses the current
format (=framerate+resolution); credits.exe
lets you choose.
Problems
feel free to send me email with
questions or bug reports.
Vizzy crashed!
If it's not really impacting your workflow, just
keep
going. Many bugs clear up in the normal course of
development.
If you know what you were doing (especially if you
can make it crash
deliberately), let me know.
The crash report is in
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Vizzy, you
could send me that.
